Maitland Heritage Festival

Maitland Heritage Fest 2021

A two-day event, 12-13 June 2021 in the Church Street Precinct,
Maitland. Ticketed events at other venues around the City.

From indigenous communities dating back thousands of years, the arrival of the cedar getters, conflict, European settlement, land grants, to rapid growth of agriculture and commerce, contemporary Maitland is a product of its rich past. Maitland Heritage Fest 2021 is a community event aiming to share, celebrate and promote Maitland’s history by way of historically inspired displays, activities, entertainment, demonstrations, and food.

CHILDREN’S WORKSHOP
Wednesday 14th April – 10am-12pm $20 (age 6-12)

BEGINNER’S WORKSHOP
Saturday 17th April – 10am-12pm $25 (older children & adults)

Join Imaginaturalist to learn the basics and how to create a botanical artwork as seen in Flora of the Hunter Exhibition.

Bring your sample or a special plant from home or draw from the amazing garden at Bough House.

This is a travelling exhibition of the Newcastle Museum.
Join us at the Covid friendly exhibition opening.

Time: 2.00pm Date: 10th April

Venue: Brough House, 73 Church Street, Maitland.
Contributors to the project will be present at the opening.
